EU program  LIFE

"Holz von Hier" (HVH) or "Low Carbon Timber" (LCT) has recently been part of the EU program LIFE, which is supported by the EU Commission. LIFE is a strong voice for climate protection in the European Union and creates best practice examples through projects whose goals, content and instruments usually continue to be supported by the Commission. HVH and the partners who implement HVH/LCT together in various European countries as well as the existing and emerging country dependencies of HVH/LCT in various EU countries are very proud and grateful to now be part of the "LIFE Community".

The EU Commission writes about the LIFE program: " The new LIFE projects will help Europe become climate-neutral by 2050, biodiversity in Europe will recover by 2030 at the latest, and they will help the EU to build up green after the COVID-19 - Pandemic Help ".

EU program INTERREG

"Holz von Hier" (HVH) was a partner in a project for the implementation of cross-border regional projects and networks for wood in the Alpine region. The project was carried out under the leadership of Slovenia. WOOD FROM HERE was well received by the stakeholder committees in the Alpine region and was presented at an EUSALP conference in Innsbruck as a best practice example in the Alpine region. Since then, "Holz von Hier" has also been part of a working group in the Alpine region that wants to promote wood from the Alpine region for the Alpine region with good examples.

The control center for the Interreg program in the Alpine region writes: " Within the framework of territorial cooperation, the Alpine region program is testing what is important for Europe as a whole: green and innovative ideas for climate-resistant and integrated development. that need to be united. Megatrends such as climate change, digitization and social challenges in the Alpine region will be met together ".

German Federal Foundation Environment

"Holz von Hier" (HVH) was supported right from the start when it was founded and established,  by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).  All projects and their Main topics in which HVH was involved could not have been put into practice by HVH without the support of the DBU  and wood from here as a whole would probably not exist if the DBU had not "dared" to to support the topic of climate-friendly supply chains and material flow management in supply chains. The topic that is on everyone's lips today was still a completely "side topic" some time ago and was systematically taken up for the first time by the DBU and HVH for the NaWaRo area. Therefore, Holz von Hier will always be very grateful to the DBU.

The DBU is currently funding a project with a focus on green finance and climate-friendly supply chains, the results of which are communicated with and via the municipal umbrella organizations to municipalities and districts. The German Federal Foundation for the Environment (DBU) is the largest environmental foundation in Europe.
